- 01 Nov 2023Just picked my first Bonnie’s Best, after planting the tree 7 years ago ( that seems like long time; this tree is on semi-dwarf rootstock). Anyway, the eating quality is excellent. Not as crunchy as Honey Crisp, but still very pleasing to bite into. A bit of tartness on first bite, but a nice sweetness to finish. I like that I can detect no bitterness in the skin, as with some other varieties - I don’t peel my apples for fresh eating. Flesh color on mine is a creamy white, not yellow as some have described. Maybe next season I can harvest enough to try cooking; I’d like to see how it works in apple pie

- 12 Oct 2014 MINNESOTA, United StatesJust tried a Bonnie Best and it is an excellent apple! Have never heard of this variety before but, if you're a Honey Crisp fan, this is it's equal!
- 21 Mar 2014 INDIANA, United StatesTasty, juicy, white flesh, crisp but not too hard. This is an enjoyable apple and one of the prettiest I have ever seen!
