Owners, David and Genny Boyer operate this lively apple orchard and cider mill. The orchard is located in beautiful Monkton, a scenic drive from Burlington or the surrounding areas. Our pick your own orchard also is home of pear and plum trees and acres of vegetable gardens. Some of the bounty of our harvest includes maple syrup, jams and jellies and garden produce. We also offer our famous cider donuts, apple pies and cookies. During the bustling fall not only can you enjoy a family outing harvesting apples but gather all your fall decorations. There's a bountiful supply of pumpkins, mums, bundles of cornstalks and hay bales. If you are looking to send a little of Vermont to a friend or family member out of state, we offer apples for shipping. Newly added is the holiday shop that runs mid November-December. Fresh cut and local holiday trees, wreaths and centerpieces. Don't forget you can bring your own jugs for cider and containers for bulk honey. We do supply bags for picking apples. However, we encourage you to recycle your bags for future trips!  more>>
  • Champlain Orchards

    Phone: (802) 897-2777
2955 Route 74 West, Shoreham, VT
At Champlain Orchards, we aim to produce the best-tasting apples possible, and to take good care of the earth while we're at it. Located on a beautiful hilltop in the Champlain Valley, we grow 15 delicious varieties of apples and press our own fresh, sweet cider. As a 100 year-old family-owned and operated farm, Champlain Orchards strives to preserve the best traditions of Vermont apple farming, while tapping the best of new farming advances. In this spirit, we grow both old time New England varieties such as the Northern Spy, and new delicious flavors such as the Honeycrisp. Similarly, we care for the land and the trees in many ways that date back to the first American settlers, but also practice integrated pest management, have a transitional organic orchard, and take a thoughtful, forward-thinking approach to growing safe apples and being excellent stewards of this land. During the harvest, Champlain Orchards hosts free evening concerts. Spread out with a picnic on our hill overlooking Lake Champlain to enjoy bluegrass music, bagpipes and folk music with your kids, pets and friends.  more>>

    175 Plank Road, Vergennes, VT
We are a micro-orchard serving the city of Vergennes and all surrounding towns in northern Addison County. The trees were planted in 2002 focusing on a pick-your-own concept with low scaffold branches to make it easy for small family members to pick. The orchard has over 250 trees to choose from including several popular varieties - Honeycrisp, McIntosh, Empire, Cortland, Macoun, Liberty, Redfree, Rome and Sweet 16. All trees receive pesticide sprays following weekly guidance from the University of Vermont and Cornell University using the latest Integrated Pest Managements practices. This practice requires monitoring both fungus and insect activity within the orchard. When a particular sampling exceeds the allowable threshold only then is the appropriate action taken to correct that specific problem. We hope that you will enjoy our orchard as much as we do, and don’t forget to buy local.  more>>
